The staff at MacKay’s Funeral Home in Terrace, BC is committed to providing a professional and personal service to each family we serve. Whether a traditional funeral with burial, direct cremation with private service or another type of service is your preference; the MacKay’s Funeral Home staff is here to help with your final wishes.

Traditional Services

We are able to provide individually planned services to meet the needs of each family. With a traditional service you have the option of having services at the funeral home, the church or graveside only. Also you have the option of a visitation prior to the service, usually the night before, or no visitation at all. We will assist you in making the choice that best accommodates your wishes.

Cremation Services – We have the only available crematorium in this area

If cremation is your preference, you will receive the same care and attention as with choosing any other options at our funeral home. With cremation, there is also a variety of options just as with traditional services ranging from cremation with no services, cremation with a memorial service at the funeral home, church or another facility or some people will choose a traditional service with casket rental; which allows you to have all the traditional service options except that cremation would follow after the service, then the family can decide on final disposition of their loved one after cremation.

If you are considering cremation, MacKay’s is the only funeral service provider in this area that has its own Crematorium. Other British Columbia funeral homes in Prince Rupert, Smithers, and Terrace all use MacKay’s Funeral Home for their cremations.
